You know, how @Flipboard shows for federated accounts only the total follower numbers from their app?
Well, there is a way, to find the number of followers from the #Fediverse, but it's only accessible for federated accounts.
Luckily I can access the one from @heiseonline and took a little tour: Seems like @npr is the biggest with almost 13.000 fediverse-followers. Other large accounts have a couple of thousand.

Anyone I shoud look up?

There was that story last month about the Turks demanding that certain opposition Bluesky accounts be silenced. They were (mostly, sort of, it’s complicated). I dug into it and came away with an essay on what we want and don’t want concerning censorship or no-censorship and how well #Bluesky and the #Fediverse might give us that: tbray.org/ongoing/When/202x/20

Herr Irrtum!

Die einzige Kollegin, mit der ich beim freien #Bürgerradio Alex Berlin ein bisschen vernetzt bin, die geschätzte Frau Anna Schmidt, hat mal eben Markus Beckedahl zu Gast in ihrer Sendung.

Und er stößt genau in das Horn, was hier in der Netzaktivist:innenDebatte gespielt wird - und es ist so WICHTIG, dass das über "unsere" Grenzen rausschwappt!

Es geht um Fragen wie:

  • Was ist denn das für ein Digitalminister?
  • Wie wollen wir uns aus den überwachungs-kapitalistischen sozialen Netzwerken rauslösen und eigene Digitalkompetenz aufbauen?
  • Sind Rundfunkanstalten im #Fediverse?

Und mit letzterer Frage zielt er genau in die Wunde, die ich seit Jahren versuche, bei Alex Berlin zu behandeln, aber die blockieren höchst irritierender Weise (trotz meines Angebots, eine "menschenfreundliche" Einführung zu geben ;) ). Angeblich gäbe es keine Ressourcen, das Fediverse zu bespielen. Aber für Insta und Facebook reicht es komischer Weise. Werde wohl noch mal ins Wespennest stechen nach diesem Interview - mit @markus_netzpolitik als Sprungschanze quasi ;)
